Confidence in Whose You Are

Confidence in Whose You Are

Tuesday

"for in Christ Jesus you are all sons of God, through faith. For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. And if you are Christ's, then you are Abraham's offspring, heirs according to promise."
— Galatians 3:26-29 (ESV)

"Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect."

— Romans 12:2 (ESV)
Reflect:
Israel had grown confident because of *who* they were — descendants of Abraham, keepers of a heritage — rather than *whose* they were, belonging to the Lord Himself. Genealogy had replaced godliness. Heritage, family name, church membership, or a "good Christian upbringing" can never substitute for a transformed, renewed heart. Real security isn't in your pedigree; it's in your position in Christ. Where might you be resting on your history with God rather than your walk with Him today?
Pray:
Father, I don't want to trade real transformation for a comfortable heritage. Renew my mind today. Let my confidence rest in Christ alone, not in who I've been or where I've come from. Amen.
