Modeling Authentic Faith

Modeling Authentic Faith

Thursday

And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise.
— Deuteronomy 6:6-7 (ESV)
Children and families learn more from what we live than from what we say.

People are watching how we handle stress, conflict, failure, and forgiveness. Authentic faith is not perfection—it is humility, repentance, consistency, and dependence on God.

Some of the most powerful spiritual moments in a home happen when someone says:

“I was wrong.”

“I’m sorry.”

“Will you forgive me?”

Grace becomes visible when faith is practiced in ordinary moments.
Reflect:
What example of faith are you consistently modeling to those closest to you?
Pray:
Father, help my faith to be genuine and visible in everyday life. Let my words, actions, and responses point others toward You. Give me humility to apologize, courage to forgive, and wisdom to lead by example. Amen.
