Compassion Makes A Difference

In these chapters we find Joseph muddling his way through some confusion as he sees his brothers for the first time in years. He is given a great opportunity to test the tenderness the Lord has worked in his heart through the difficulties he has faced. It is an amazing testament to the compassion one can show to his or her tormentors. In his interactions with his brothers we hypothesize some of the ways he deals with them but, in the end we discover that compassion makes a distinction and creates a difference in the situation. Hopefully we, too, can hone our hearts by looking into this story and learning how to be more merciful to those we may be quick or ready to judge.
